SCOTLAND'S largest-ever ice hockey competition is set to take place in Glasgow in the run-up to the new year.
Two days of matches will be played at the Ovo Hydro to mark this year's Hogmanay.
Three of Scotland's biggest teams and a side from Northern Ireland -- the Glasgow Clan, Dundee Stars, Fife Flyers and Belfast Giants -- will contest three bumper games in front of thousands of fans.
The series will start on Wednesday, December 30 with the Dundee Stars clashing with the Fife Flyers at 3pm.
The Glasgow Clan will then take on the Northern Ireland-based Belfast Giants in the evening matchup at 7.30pm.
On Hogmanay, Glasgow and Dundee will go head-to-head at 3pm, with the new Scotia Quaich trophy up for grabs.
Tickets start from £35 per match for seating in the upper-levels of the Hydro, with child tickets available for £20.
Lower-level tickets are available for £45 per game, or £25 for children.
Season-ticket holders of the clubs will be able to obtain tickets from Wednesday, August 26, with the public sale opening on Tuesday, September 1.
All season ticket holders are able to claim their tickets for free but must register their interest to receive them.
The Hydro has a maximum capacity of 14,300, with a total seating capacity of around 12,300.
The event has been advertised by the clubs as a chance for Scottish fans to see the game at its biggest-ever scale on Scottish soil.
A statement shared by each club involved read: "Whether you’re a lifelong hockey fan, bringing the family along or looking for something different to do over the festive period, this is ice hockey on a massive scale."
