An incident sparked a large police presence outside a takeaway and shop in Harpurhey on Thursday evening (June 23). A cordon was erected after police arrived amid unconfirmed reports of a 'fight'.
The incident reportedly happened earlier in the evening, at Tavistock Square. A large police presence remained at the scene until around 8.30pm.
Pictures show numerous police vehicles standing by the cordon, with bloodied tissue also seen on the floor within the blocked off area. Further details on the incident or the nature of any injuries are yet to be confirmed by Greater Manchester Police.

One witness at the scene told the M.E.N there was a cordon up 'behind the church' with 'a load of bloodied tissue on the floor at the paved area by the takeaway'.
Earlier in the evening, it is understood there were also paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service at the scene before the area was later scaled down. The area cordoned off was the square just off Grangewood Drive in the north Manchester town.
Further information about the incident, or the nature of any injuries have not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for information.
