Large police presence as 'armed officers' called to raid in Chester-le-Street

Durham Constabulary County Durham Front Street

Armed police officers closed off roads in a County Durham town during a large scale police incident.

Durham Constabulary officers at Front Street as they carried out a search warrant at a property in Chester-le-Street this morning.

Front Street was closed to all vehicles and pedestrians between Cooperative Street and Station Road both ways with passer-bys reporting a police presence from around 10am on Saturday.
