A large group of travellers have today (July 6) been spotted camped out in a Bestwood park. Pictures from Southglade Park show a bunch of vans and caravans grouped together in front of the park's woods.
This is the latest in series of traveller sightings throughout Nottinghamshire in recent weeks. Last month a secondary school in Nottinghamshire faced major disruption after a group of travellers illegally entered and pitched up on the school's grounds.
The Newark Academy, based on London Road, Balderton, had several caravans turn up at the school on Friday, June 24. Furthermore, an eviction order was served this week after a group of travellers set up in a patch of city woodland.

Travellers were encamped at Colwick Woods in Nottingham, having been first spotted over the weekend of Saturday, July 2. Nottingham City Council who manage the area, said there were 17 vehicles on the site.
They added the travellers had been served a 24-hour eviction notice. What action, if any, is taken against this latest group remains to be seen.
