A woman was found dead in a park after emergency services were called to the scene.
Merseyside Police were called to Stadt Moers Park in Whiston on Monday at around 12.15pm to reports of a concern for safety for a woman. Residents reported a large emergency services presence on Paradise Lane, which is near the park.
Officers arrived at the scene and a woman, in her 50s, was pronounced dead by paramedics. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said her death is being treated as non-suspicious.

A report is being prepared for the Coroner’s Office. The spokesperson for the force said: "Merseyside Police can confirm emergency services were called to a concern for safety of a woman in Whiston on Monday, May 15.
"At around 12.15pm we received a report of a concern for safety of a woman in her 50s in Stadt Moers Park. She was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics and her death is being treated as non-suspicious. A report is being prepared for the Coroner’s Office."
