Landing to get safer as Chennai airport gets defence land to install runway lights

CHENNAI: Flying into the city will get safer as AAI has got 10.2 acre defence land at the Guindy-end of the main runway to set landing lights at the city airport.

This is part of the 21.2 acre the airport has received in three locations around the airport for different work to enhance aircraft handling capacity.
