Residents say that a Hunter council fudged dates of a land purchase in order to sell a much-loved pocket of greenspace maintained by local families for generations.
Maitland councillors will vote on Tuesday on whether to overturn the decision to sell a Clift Street block residents call their park, as a community group says land records show council did not legally own the land until late 1997.
