A piece of land near Sherwood Forest has gone on the market for £2.4 million. The 5.9 acres of lane off Mansfield Road, Edwinstowe. has outline planning consent for up to 50 dwellings from Newark and Sherwood District Council.
This consent was confirmed in the minutes of the meeting held on March 15, 2022, and the Section 106 Agreement has been signed. This planning consent has been designed for the housing to be located n the first two thirds of the site with landscaping and open space to the north, to overlook the rural land.
The green field agricultural land is 8 miles from Mansfield, 12 miles from Newark, and 20 miles from Nottingham. It borders Sherwood Forest at the north and west of the site.
There is already existing housing towards the eastern boundary, where there will be pedestrian, cyclist and emergency access onto Lintin Avenue and Thorseby Drive. There is a range of technical documentation and planning reports available regarding the land, including a heritage statement, noise survey and tree survey.
