The newly-crowned Miss England has revealed her sky-high ambitions to become the first beauty queen to travel to space as she prepares to undergo intense training to become an astronaut.
Jessica Gagen, who claimed the Miss England title for Lancashire, is already a budding rocket scientist in her final year of a degree in aerospace engineering. The 27-year-old is dedicated to inspiring other women into STEM subjects.
Now she believes her career path is written in the stars, with dreams of one day educating children from on board the International Space Station (ISS). Jessica, who was crowned Miss England two months ago, is originally from Skelmersdale, Lancs Live reports.
