A beloved and valued member of a Lanarkshire village community has been appointed as a Fellow at the University of Cambridge.
Glenboig Development Trust's operational manager Teresa Aitken is "delighted" to have the Cambridge Judge Business School/Faculty of Social Innovation honour bestowed upon her.
The organisation backs research Fellows and practitioner honorary Fellows with cutting edge research, learning and support for social developments.
Over the years Teresa has worked with the faculty of social innovation to promote the work ethic of Glenboig Development Trust - and share its "practices and successes to help UK and international communities recover and flourish".
Through Teresa joining the faculty, communities will continue to benefit from the Trust’s knowledge and practices, while being at the forefront of the cutting edge development inspiring future generations to deliver "resilient healthy, safe and successful communities".
Teresa told Lanarkshire Live : "I am delighted to accept this honour of sharing the learning and hard work of our staff and trustees in achieving successful outcomes for our communities.
"Working with the Cambridge Judge Business School/Faculty of Social Innovation will be a catalyst for further developments in our local communities, and inspirational for future generations to aspire and succeed."
Hard-working Teresa will join the faculty on regular occasions, supporting lectures and research staff.
