A former East Kilbride school teacher faces being struck off after allegedly making sexual remarks and inappropriately touching two young boys.
The unnamed man, who was a staff member at a school in the town, has had a number of allegations made against him dating back to the 1990s.
He is now set to go before the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) on Tuesday, January 25.
The teacher - who cannot yet be named - is accused of exposing his private parts and asking a boy, dubbed Pupil A, to touch him. The boy is said to have been aged between 11 and 14 at the time.
He is also alleged to have had the boy over to his house where he performed a massage on the youngster and touched his private parts.
These incidents are alleged to have taken place between August 1994 and February 1997.
He is also accused of making a string of lewd comments to the pupil, including asking if the boy had ever compared penis sizes with his friends.
And it is alleged he bought the pupil gifts of clothing, DVDs and alcohol as well as paying for a gym membership and taking the child there during this time.
He is also alleged to have asked Pupil A to remove his clothes and giving him a box of condoms.
The accused faces similar charges involving a second boy, known as Pupil B, between August 2013 and June 2014. That child was aged between 12 and 13 at the time.
The teacher is accused of gifting the youngster with clothing and alcohol, as well as paying for him to have a haircut.
It’s alleged he told the young boy he loved him and let him sleep overnight at his home where he is alleged to have given the boy a massage and touched his private parts.
He is also said to have removed the boy’s clothes and asked the pupil to touch his private parts.
The teacher is also accused of asking the pupil inappropriate questions including whether he had had sex or watched pornography.
The full Fitness to Teach Conduct Hearing will be heard virtually on January 25 and 26.
