An East Kilbride high school remembered an "outstanding teacher" as she was laid to rest this week.
St Andrew's and St Bride's paid an online tribute to English teacher Deborah Coulter and said she was "loved by students, parents and colleagues".
Posting on the school's Twitter page and sharing a picture of the 43-year-old Blantyre mum from the order of service, it read: "Mrs Deborah Coulter was an outstanding teacher, loved by students, parents and colleagues. She will be very much missed by the whole school community and will always be remembered fondly. Eternal rest."
A funeral service was held for Mrs Coulter at St Joseph's Church in Blantyre on Monday morning (June 19) celebrated by Father Delaney.
The school community is reeling from the sudden death of the "much-loved" educator who passed away suddenly on June 3.
Head teacher Fiona Mullen described the tragedy as an "enormous shock" to staff across the school.
Paying tribute, she said: “The whole school community is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend, colleague and teacher Deborah Coulter.
“She was a much-loved and valued member of the team here at St Andrew’s and St Bride’s and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends."
Tributes poured in for the hugely popular teacher including from friend Monica Lennon, MSP for Central Scotland, who wrote: "Devastated to hear that Deborah has died. So many good memories from our youth. My sincere condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and pupils at this incredibly difficult time. May she rest in peace."
Another post read: "Tragic news, she was a fabulous teacher and will be a huge loss to the school and the current and future children who attend the school."
Another commented: "A teacher you’ll never forget, rest in paradise, thoughts with the family at this difficult time."
