A man charged with the murder of Darrell Buchanan in Hamilton has been remanded in custody for trial.
Walter Buchanan, made his second appearance on petition at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday in connection with the death of the 37-year-old woman.
Buchanan, from Hamilton, gave no plea or declaration to a charge of murder and was fully committed for trial.
The 64-year-old was remanded in custody.
Darrell Buchanan, a mum, was discovered in a property in Hamilton Park North, near the town's racecourse, at 8.10am on Saturday, February 18.
Locals reported seeing a heavy police presence in the area in the days following the grim discovery.
One resident said: "CID officers have been knocking on our doors.
"We woke up to police in the street. There were plain clothed officers stationed inside the flat block.
"There have been police everywhere, it's very worrying. This is a nice area."
Walter Buchanan first appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court charged with her murder, on Monday, February 27.
He made no plea during that hearing.
