A man has appeared in court in connection with the deaths of Lanarkshire residents, John Paul Duffy and Emma Baillie.
Peter Duffy faced two charges of murder today when he appeared in private at Airdrie Sheriff Court.
The 46-year-old was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
He was arrested earlier this week after the bodies of John Paul, 51, and Emma, 26, were discovered within properties in Coatbridge.
That was during a major police probe in the town as cops appealed to the public for information
