Lanarkshire family appeal for help in finding beloved missing dog

An East Kilbride family are desperate to be reunited with their beloved dog.

Andy Farmer's German Shepherd, Nico, went missing from a field in the Calderside Road area while out on a walk with a dog walker.

The six-year-old mainly black dog has been missing since yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

Andy, who owns Village Blinds, has had Nico since he was 12-weeks-old and even slept in the field last night where he ran off in the hope he would return.

"He was chased by other dogs while he was out with the dog walker, " he told Lanarkshire Live.

"We believe two dogs went for him and he has ran off in fright, he is a big softy.

"We are just absolutely desperate to get him back, everyone has been out looking for him.

"I even slept in the field all last night with his blanket, bed, toys and some of my clothes hoping he would get the scent and come back."

Nico was last spotted around the 'blue bridge' in the Calderwood area of the town near to Brancumhall.

Local businessman, Andy, says Nico is a very friendly, approachable dog and anyone who sees him should call 07901 868 431 or 07368 215 598.
