Lanarkshire COVID rule break MP given community service as she walks free from court

Margaret Ferrier has walked free from court after breaching coronavirus rules by travelling by train despite knowing she had the virus.

The former SNP MP spoke in the Houses of Parliament in September 2020 while awaiting the results of a COVID test.

The 62 year-old then took the train from London to Glasgow after being told she had tested positive.
