The Scottish SPCA is seeking a homes for a horde of adorable hamsters in the care of its Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.
Scotland’s animal welfare charity is also caring for a further eight hamsters who are not quite ready to be rehomed.
SSPCA Centre manager, Gillian Boyle, told Lanarkshire Live : “We currently have seven sweet young hamsters looking for their forever homes.
“GG, Pop Gerald, Tiny Tom, Simon, William and Ivan are all very cute little hamsters that enjoy sleeping their days away.
“They are very settled and like to keep their house nice and clean.
“They are all very friendly and well handled. They could be rehomed to a home with children of around five and above, with adult supervision.
“They would require a spacious home with plenty of enrichment to keep them happy and healthy.
“We are also caring for another hamster who has recently given birth to a further seven babies!
“They are just one week old, so aren’t ready to leave us just yet but we would welcome notes of interest for them.
“All of these hamsters would make a great addition to most households, and would be the perfect first pet for a young animal lover.
“We are also in need of hamster cages to house all of our little residents, and would be so grateful for any donations.
“Cages can be purchased on our Amazon wishlist, with any other online retailer, or dropped directly at the donation bins outside our centre.”
