Lanark Amateur Swimming star Evi Mackie won five West District Group 1 titles during the Championships in Glasgow, breaking a club record that had stood for 29 years.
Mackie also broke three other club records during the event, which was held at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, in which several young athletes did well.
Evi’s sterling performance was amongst an impressive medals haul for the club during the weekend event.
Fourteen-year-old Mackie won five District titles in 50m butterfly, 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle, 1500m freestyle and 200m individual medley
She broke four Lanark female club records, including Adele Dickson’s 200m IM record which had stood for 29 years.
The 14-years and under group took part in events on the Saturday with debutant Emily Taylor winning a silver in 50m back and two bronze in 400m free and 100m back in the 11/12 years group.
Imogen Siebers was third in 50m backstroke.
Orlaith Jeffrey and Lucy Taylor, both 13, finished fourth in the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke, respectively.
On Sunday the senior swimmers – 15 and over – were also among the medals.
Craig Shaw, 15, won the 50m breaststroke, with Katie Towers taking third spot in 50m breaststroke.
Abbie Barnstaple, 16, was sixth in 100m butterfly, as was 17-year-old Millie McArthur in the 50m freestyle, breaking her own club record in the process.
Erin Lammie, Alex Douglas, Caitlyn Hamilton, Ian Henderson, Benji Jones and Euan McLeod also put in some solid performances.
Coach Karen Kelly said: “Well done to the Lanark swimmers.
“Between them, seven swimmers posted eight qualifying times and seven consideration times for the Scottish Age Groups in Aberdeen in April.
“Records are there to be broken, so hats off to Evi and Millie.
“A special mention to Millie and Erin, who have battled illness and did well to even turn out and compete this weekend.”
