Lamar Jackson hasn’t played in a preseason game since 2017, and he probably won’t take the field this summer after being ruled out of the Ravens matchup against the Falcons on Saturday.
Head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that Jackson, Mark Andrews, and several other key players will again sit out.
Lamar Jackson won’t play in Saturday’s preseason game, along with many other starters.
“It’ll be the same direction as last week,” Ravens coach Harbaugh said.

Jackson initially missed four of the Ravens’ first five training camp practices with flu-like symptoms before being forced to seek medical evaluations. Jackson returned to practice and has been active and efficient since.
Veteran quarterback Josh Johnson will start the contest, and Jackson’s absence will provide more snaps for rookies Emory Jones and Devin Leary.
