The news of the day on Monday in the NFL was the announcement from Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson that he requested a trade from the team at the beginning of the month.
While the Arizona Cardinals are not in the market for a quarterback, especially Jackson, this news could affect them as they prepare for the NFL draft.
One of the more logical spots for Jackson to land in a trade would be the Indianapolis Colts. Some odds have them as the betting favorite to land Jackson.
The Colts have the fourth pick in the draft, just behind the Cardinals, who own the third pick.
If the Colts trade for Jackson, they would certainly have to include the fourth overall pick. The Colts were viewed as a potential trade-up candidate.
If they trade out of the pick, the Colts are out as a trade partner. Would the Ravens want to trade up an extra spot to land a quarterback?
Or would that make another team more willing to trade to No. 3?
