The date of Lalita Panchami 2026 will fall on Thursday, October 15, during the period of Sharad Navratri. This holy day is dedicated to Goddess Lalita, who is also known as Tripura Sundari and Shodashi. This is a day of Shakti puja, fasting, and prayers for gaining wisdom, strength, and prosperity. Goddess Lalita is one of the ten Mahavidyas in Hindu mythology.
Lalita Panchami is also called Upang Lalita Vrat and is celebrated mainly in Gujarat and some parts of Maharashtra. Unlike Navratri which involves the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, Lalita Panchami gives devotees a unique opportunity to worship Goddess Lalita.
