The new Lakelands Retail and Leisure Park in Enniskillen moved one step closer to reality this week after the Department for Infrastructure said it would not be holding up objections to the development.
The new retail park to be built on the former Unipork site has divided opinion among some in the town, with planning approval granted by a narrow vote at Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
But now, despite objections, the project looks like it will be given the green light and the development is set to house six retail units, a hotel, restaurants and many other amenities.

One of the first confirmed tenants of the Cornagrade Road site is Brunswick Movie Bowl, which currently operates a cinema, ten-pin bowling alley and restaurants in Derry.
