Whose turn it is to do the laundry is a regular, debated conversation in my household. My laundry basket always seems to be overflowing and it doesn't matter how many times you think you are 'on top of the washing', it never seems to end.
Doing the laundry has always been a detested household chore for me but it now comes with the caveat of expense. With energy prices soaring, as well as other bills, many Britons, including myself, have been trying to hold off on anything that'll use up too much energy at home - and the washing machine/tumble dryer is one of them, as each cycle can cost up to £2.
It's not just energy prices you have to consider when doing the washing either, it's the cost of what goes into it, like your powder and fabric conditioner. And with supermarkets hiking their prices up, it seems that every aspect of laundry requires extra cash.
