A large Lake Ontario sign has been unveiled next to the lake after Donald Trump signed an executive order attempting to rename it Lake America.
Doug Ford, the Premier of Ontario, vowed that the lake's 400-year-old name would remain unchanged despite the US president's actions.
Ford strongly condemned the move, stating that they would never back down from a bully.
Lake Ontario borders both the Canadian province of Ontario and the US state of New York.
The executive order applies solely to US federal usage and holds no authority over Canada or international bodies.
