Fresh off the heels of her CMT Awards win for Female Video of the Year, musician Lainey Wilson is shining bright. This glittery disposition also carries over to the singer's home; though her outfits may mostly consist of suede, leather, and plenty of fringe, her interiors boast lots of metallics – of various shades.
In a video posted to her TikTok page, the Watermelon Moonshine singer showed off her silver fridge with gold accents – a twist on the standard, cohesive refrigerator.
While mixing metals, in general, can be quite polarizing to some, experts say that with the correct styling, it can be a trend-forward move in the home.
'The key is to be subtle about the use of different metals,' says Moss Pure CEO and founder Jamie Mitri. 'If you are mixing two types of metallics, stick to two types or colors throughout the kitchen.'

For example, Mitri says that if a kitchen has a simple appearance with white or black cabinets, then gold accents work well.
'It would also work well to mix two types of metals in the kitchen, for example, gold handles and silver sink hardware,' she says, particularly with all-white kitchen cabinets.
Meanwhile, brightly-colored and patterned kitchens can also use metallic handles; however, there are additional factors to consider to ensure the space does not look too busy.
'If you have a bold or eccentric kitchen, for example, green or blue cabinets, if you do go with gold handles, you will want to go with thinner handles to keep the combination subtle,' Mitri explains.
'If you do want to mix and match metals, stick to two types and use thinner hardware to keep colors from clashing. Always keep things subtle and simple – which eludes elegance and expensive design taste, even on a budget.'
Whether mixing gold and silver or remaining uniform in (mono)chrome, Mitri believes that metallic accents are a timeless piece in all kitchens.
'The beauty of chrome hardware is that it goes with any style kitchen or color cabinet,' Mitri states. 'Sink hardware can also be made of chrome and can go with any style.' So, while Wilson has created an inspirational space where mixed metals work in harmony, it's reassuring to know we can't go too far wrong. No matter our kitchen cabinet color or countertop texture, silver and gold finishes are almost certain to work in our space.
And why stop with finishes? Below, we've sourced a beautiful gold and silver fridge akin to Lainey Wilson's.
