Lady Gaga has shared her reaction to the viral claims that she is pregnant with her first child.
The singer hit headlines on Tuesday, following rumours that she could be expecting a baby with her partner Michael Polansky. Many thoughts the star could potentially be pregnant after photos from her sister Natali Germanotta's wedding weekend surfaced online.
The images appeared to show Gaga with what some speculate to be a baby bump.
Putting the rumours to rest, Gaga took to her TikTok channel to share a new video that directly addresses the speculation. She humorously captioned the video, “not pregnant – just down bad cryin at the gym.”
The caption references Taylor Swift's song "Down Bad" from the album The Tortured Poets Department. In the video, Gaga lip-syncs to an audio clip, stating, “I don’t have to find an aesthetic, I am an aesthetic. I mean, I’m sure there’s somebody out here right now who is going into Pinterest trying to type up all these adjectives to describe me.”
She also used the heightened media attention to encourage her followers to engage in civic duties, adding, “register to vote or check if you’re registered EASILY.” She even shared the link for fans to register themselves to vote.
On the work front, Gaga will be seen next in the movie 'Joker 2' alongside Joaquin Phoenix. The film is expected to arrive in cinemas on October 4.
