Highways officers are currently at Lady Bay Bridge to assist with traffic management after a serious crash on Monday, July 4. The bridge is a major route into and out of Nottingham, but it was closed throughout the day and it is not yet known whether it will be able to re-open today (July 5) due to safety concerns.
When Nottinghamshire Live visited the area on Tuesday, Highway Maintenance officers were at the scene. Pictures show nearby roads being partially closed.
Traffic lights have also been put in place around the Meadow Lane area. Cars can get to the Forest Ground Environment Agency from the Lady Bay end.

There is another road block just after Arrington Road. It comes after police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the scene on Monday morning and an air ambulance was seen around the area.
One man was injured in the incident but Nottinghamshire Police later confirmed his condition was not life threatening or altering. In a joint statement issued by Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, it reads: "Lady Bay Bridge is also expected to remain closed on Tuesday (July 5) and so we are advising motorists to plan alternative routes using Trent Bridge, Clifton Bridge or Gunthorpe Bridge. Please keep in mind that these routes are likely to be busier due to the disruption on Lady Bay Bridge.
"We will keep you updated on when the bridge will be reopened and thank you for your patience while we work to keep you safe."
