FORMER Scotland in Union chief Pamela Nash has taken a seat from the SNP for Labour.
The top Unionist campaigner has taken Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke for the party on 19,168 votes to Marion Fellows’s 12,083.
She was criticised during the election campaign after her group Scotland in Union produced a tactical voting guide which urged voters in some parts of the country to vote Conservative.
Nash previously served as the MP for Airdrie and Shotts between 2010 and 2015.
Her fellow Scotland in Union campaigner Johanna Baxter has taken Paisley and Renfrewshire South off the SNP for Labour.
It comes amid a wider routing for the SNP across the central belt, with seats lost across much of country.
Speaking at the Aberdeen count where he held on to his seat, SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn said his party “must listen” to the electorate.
