Andy Burnham has given his backing to rail and airport workers going on strike - and said he would join a picket line.
The Greater Manchester mayor said he supports workers doing what they need to do to protect their incomes during a cost-of-living crisis.
But he sought to downplay his Labour leadership ambitions after Keir Starmer ordered frontbenchers not to be pictured on pickets.
