A LABOUR minister has been accused of “muddying the waters” after walking back comments made by Andy Burnham on Russian interference.

In a series of media interviews this morning, Foreign Office minister Stephen Doughty was asked about Andy Burnham’s recent acknowledgment that there was a state-sponsored Russian interference influence campaign that attempted to sway the Brexit referendum.
