The event will feature performances by renowned California-based artists such as Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg, along with a live rendition of the U.S. National Anthem by the talented H.E.R.

The LA28 Countdown, curated to provide a glimpse into the upcoming 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, will be hosted by tennis champion Venus Williams. This event promises not only musical entertainment but also a sneak peek at the LA28 Games and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.

Casey Wasserman, chairperson and president of LA28, expressed his enthusiasm for this historic moment as the Olympic flag passes from Paris to LA. The collaboration with local artists like Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg aims to showcase the best of LA to a global audience.

In addition to the musical performances, the LA28 event will feature appearances by Team USA Olympians, including skateboarder Jagger Eaton, mountain biker Kate Courtney, and track and field gold medalist Michael Johnson. Special guests such as Olympic legends Carl Lewis and Sugar Ray Leonard, as well as Paralympic swimmer Rudy Garcia-Tolson, will also be part of the celebration.
