La’el Collins is the last piece of the new-look Cincinnati Bengals offensive line to get back on the field for the team at training camp.
Buy Bengals TicketsBoth he and new arrival Alex Cappa had stints on injury lists to start camps. Cappa has been back for a few days now, though, and the team announced on Wednesday that Collins had received clearance to resume practicing, too.
As expected, Bengals coaches confirmed they would bring Collins along slowly.
Prior to Wednesday’s clearance, Bengals coaches had made it clear that they don’t necessarily need to see preseason work from Collins. Makes sense — he’s one of the best offensive tackles in football.
More from Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com:
La’el Collins, cleared to practice, says he’ll ease in with position work. Says he won’t rush it and feels like he could go into season without taking a preseason snap “but we’ll see how it goes.”

Collins’ arrival means all three major free-agent adds (Collins, Cappa and center Ted Karras) will soon be on the field at the same time.
