Crocked Celtic hero Kyogo Furuhashi will NOT make Sunday's showdown with Rangers claims Simon Donnelly.
But he reckons he could be fit to face Gio van Bronckhorst's men at Hampden.
The striker has been out since sustaining a hamstring injury at St Johnstone on Boxing Day but could be in line for a return for derby day having been spotted in Lennoxtown training.
Kyogo has stated his is nearing full fitness but it remains to be seen if Ange Postecoglou will throw the Celtic fan favourite in for the top of the table Premiership clash.
However, Donnelly has hinted at having behind the scenes knowledge of the forward's status going into the crucial showdown.
He reckons that he will be wrapped in cotton wool going into the Scottish Cup semi-final clash against Rangers on April 17.
Donnelly told the Go Radio Football Show: “He’s been out for three months and three days.
"I have heard that he is back training, but I think Sunday may come too soon for him.
“I think maybe they are looking more at the Scottish Cup semi-final. I think that might be more realistic.
“Giakmoumakis is in top form. A hat-trick in his last outing, and I think he would have the jersey anyway on Sunday.
“I think Kyogo is the best striker at the club but he is not fully fit.”
