Kyogo Furuhashi in Celtic 'grow' vow as he hails 'fun' debut campaign under Ange Postecoglou

Kyogo Furuhashi has loved every minute of his time at Celtic after a stunning first season in Scotland.

The Japan international hit the ground running and quickly established himself as a fans' favourite following his transfer to Parkhead last summer.

Ange Postecoglou brought in the attacker from Vissel Kobe and despite missing a chunk of the season through injury, he managed to bag 20 goals and five assists.

He's promised the Celtic fans there is so much more to come from him as he continues to grow at the club as he thanked his team-mates for their support.

He told Japanese outlet Soccer King: "It's been a fun year. It seemed like a long time, and it ended in a blink of an eye, so it was very fulfilling, but I think there are still many challenges.

"I realised that I still have to grow.

"As I played the game, I felt that my strengths were being applied.

"The reason I scored goals is because many players are connecting to the front of the goal.

"It's a strike-through and a sense of smell to the goal. I think that is my strength, so I would like to express that.

"I'm just getting a pass and scoring a goal in a position where I can decide, so I'm grateful for the support of those around me."
