Kym Marsh has pulled out of Strictly Come Dancing this weekend due to covid.
The Coronation Street star has gone down a storm with fans as she and her partner, Graziano Di Prima, have been firm favourites from the start. The pair made their way to Blackpool Tower, a pinnacle moment in the competition, but they will be absent from the ballroom this weekend.
The actress has contracted Covid-19, forcing her to pull out of the competition. A spokesperson for the BBC said that if she is healthy to do so she can return at a later date.

On Tuesday, a Strictly spokesperson said: "Kym Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, Kym and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, they will return the following week."
It is unclear whether or not this week will be a non-elimination or how her absence will affect the competition. The Liverpool Echo has contacted the BBC for further comment.
