Kym Marsh prompted an outpouring of birthday best wishes as she marked her granddaughter's special day. The Waterloo Road star and Coronation Street favourite posted a collection of sweet pictures on her Instagram as she said happy birthday to seven-year-old Polly.
Kym, 46, who played Michelle Connor in Corrie until 2019, told her 585,000 followers: "Had a lovely day celebrating my beautiful granddaughters birthday!" And in a heartwarming message to Polly she said: "Polly we love you with all of our hearts you gorgeous little ray of sunshine! Happy birthday princess! Loli loves you!"
As the happy birthday messages came pouring in, some fans were confused. One fan Kym adcan_mfc exclaimed: "Can’t believe you’re even old enough to be a grandma, you are stunning x" While victoriasykes24 asked: "I'm confused! Granddaughter has same name as daughter??X" And gemma_baxter_2202 agreed: "Me too."

Last week Kym wished her daughter Polly a happy 12th birthday, saying: "Happy 12th birthday to my little pocket rocket Polly. Can’t believe how time has flown. What happened to that tiny little premature baby?!?"
But victoriasykes24 realised that both Kym's daughter and granddaughter are called Polly. "Ah just seen on a previous post!" they said. "This is her daughters step daughter!" And Stacey replied: "Ahhh that makes sense."
The singer, actress and TV presenter had viewers gasping in amazement when she competed on Strictly Come Dancing last year and it was revealed that she was a grandmother of three. The Morning Live host said she was pleased to be taking part in the popular long-running show for the grandmas.
"I am doing it for the grannies, definitely," she declared. "Has a granny ever won before?" host Tess Daly asked as Kym informed her they hadn't. "I could be the first!" she exclaimed.
Kym's daughter Emilie has a son with her partner Mikey Hoszowskyj, who they welcomed in May 2019. And in August Kym announced she had become a grandmother for the second time as her son David and his fiancée Courtney welcomed a baby boy named Clayton.
Kym is also a doting grandmother to Mikey's daughter Polly. Last March she proudly shared a picture to mark the little girl's sixth birthday and said: "Happy 6th birthday to our beautiful granddaughter Polly. What a little ray of sunshine you really are! Funny and sassy, sweet and kind and the best big sister to Teddy!"
