Around five years ago, Kym Marsh declared that she had given up on finding love.
The former Coronation Street star swore off men and vowed to focus on herself and her children following two failed marriages.
She yearned for a less complicated life, but when she least expected it, ended up instantly falling for Scott Ratcliffe - who she'd met through mutual pal, Coronation Street star Antony Cotton.
The couple started talking in the summer of 2018 and by October 2021, they were married in a star-studded affair.
However just 19 months later, Kym, 46, has reportedly split from the ex-soldier, 34.
The Hear'Say singer has previously admitted that she has been "unlucky in love" - admitting that it's down to the high expectations she has after witnessing her parents' perfect marriage.
Kym shares two children - David, 27, and Emili, 24, - with her ex, builder Dave, whom she met in a karaoke bar in her home town of Whiston in 1994.
The pair were engaged before they eventually split in 1999.
Kym then first married actor Jack Ryder in 2002 before tying the knot with Hollyoaks star Jame Lomas 10 years later.
Just 12 months into their relationship, Kym fell pregnant but went into labour at just 21 weeks. Devastatingly, baby Archie died just minutes after being born.
The TV couple did welcome daughter Polly in March 2012, just months before their wedding day. But they called time on their marriage after just a year.
The Strictly Star then had a few whirlwind romances that fizzled out before she fell for Scott.
But the mum-of-three has revealed in the past that she has a tendency to be cynical of men because of the admiration she has for her father, Dave - and the high expectations he has set.
She grew up thinking she would have a fairytale love story like her parents, but learned the hard way that relationships are tough.
Speaking with The Sun in 2019, Kym said: "My mum and dad have been together since my mum was 18 and the problem with that is that me and my sister are always looking for my dad. And he doesn't exist because, well, Dad's dad!
"I tell my mum she's lucky she found him when she did because it doesn't always happen to everyone, and what I've learned over time is that actually there is no fairy tale."
Sources close to Kym claim she and Scott have split due to busy work commitments after trying to make things work.
They have had to live apart, as Kym is based in Cheshire while Scott is based at his barracks down south.
"They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most," the insider claimed.
