Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has spoken for the first time since rumours circulated she has 'split' from her Scots husband Scott Ratcliff after just 19 months of marriage.
According to reports, the 46-year-old actress and ex-soldier Scott, 34, have ended their relationship after tying the knot in October 2021.
Kym had remained silent when news first spread but she took to Instagram on Saturday to pay tribute to her co-stars in the Take That musical, Greatest Days, which kicked off a UK tour on May 5.
After the first show at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, she said: "Well…..WHAT A NIGHT!!!! I am sooooo lucky to be working with this amazing cast and crew! Last night was one I will remember forever! So very grateful! I’ve made friends for life! And just to say….these women in this photo are three of the best people I have ever met! Beautiful, super talented and the most supportive and generous ladies ever! I love you @themarwood @jamieroseam @hollyashtonwareing so lucky to call you my friends Thank you @churchill_bromley for a cracker of an opening night! Bring on the rest of the tour!!!"
And that came after a gushing tribute ahead of the show where Kym had said: "I just want to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of this cast and crew! This whole experience has been incredible and I truly feel so privileged to be part of it!!! We open tonight in Bromley! Let’s go SMASH it gang!!! This show is one I will “NEVER FORGET."
Scott was Kym's third husband after she married actor Jack Ryder in 2002 and then tied the knot with former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas ten years later.
Sources close to Kym have said that the couple have split due to work commitments after trying to get through their issues. They said: "They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most.
"Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing."
The source had added how "Scott is based in barracks down south — he’s got a very busy career as well".
The former Hear'Say singer and Scott got married just four months after announcing their engagement.
They said 'I do' at Sandhurst military academy in front of friends and family just over a year and a half ago.
Guests included Countdown icon Carol Vorderman and her former Corrie co-star Antony Cotton acted as Master of Ceremonies.
Kym was keen to wed quickly after her father David, 76, was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer.
She had previously said it was her dream for her dad to walk her down the aisle on her wedding day.
Kym’s children David, 27, Emilie, 24, and Polly, 11, all attended - with Scott’s daughter Renee, six, on the top table.
On their first wedding anniversary last October, Kym shared a photo of the newlyweds at sunset on their big day.
Describing her husband as her "rock" and her "soulmate" she gazed lovingly at her Scott, who wore his red uniform.
Kym plays Rachel and her daughter Emile Cunliffe plays the part of Young Rachel in the musical, which was formerly known as The Band.
