Kylie Minogue has announced a free live show in London this month, in the run-up to her forthcoming album.
The Australian pop legend will stage an intimate performance at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on September 27, following the release of her upcoming album Tension on September 22.
Fans can expect to hear their favourite Kylie classic’s from throughout her career, as well as new material from the forthcoming release.
The show is held in partnership with O2 and Virgin Media, and O2 Priority customers can register for tickets now, though only 700 passes will be made available, which will be allocated through a ballot system.
Minogue said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to London to play such an intimate venue. It’s going to be a really special evening playing some favourites from throughout my career and of course from my new album out that week. I can’t wait to see some of you there!”
Fans can enter the ballot for the intimate show today, with entries limited to O2 Priority customers only — the ballot will end September 14.
The exciting news follows a bumper year for Minogue, who scored her first UK top 10 hit in over a decade with viral dance-hit Padam Padam.
“I’ve been doing this for about three million years and it’s the first time I’ve had that true viral moment, which you can’t manifest”, she told the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, speaking on the success of the track. “The fact that the second that Padam came out it was liked and people took ownership of it, and that was really so rewarding for me. I loved it.”
This week, Minogue also announced additional details of her upcoming An Audience With show at Royal Albert Hall, taking place on December 1. The singer is expected to perform a selection of her greatest hits, as well as tracks from her forthcoming album.
Tickets for her Royal Albert Hall performance are on sale now, and the show will be broadcast on ITV at a later date, with the venue teasing surprise appearances and questions from “celebrity audience of friends, personal heroes, actors, musicians, artists, sportsmen and women”.
Kylie Minogue also added a Las Vegas residency at new Sin City venue, Voltaire inside The Venetian Tower, to her busy schedule, which kicks off November 3. The string of shows sold out in spectacular fashion last month, with eager punters crashing the website in hopes to bag a ticket.
