Kylian Mbappe is reportedly unhappy at Paris Saint-Germain and wants to leave the club as soon as January. The French striker was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid when his contract was set to expire last season before he decided to continue with his current club.
Since Mbappe moved from Monaco to Paris, he has scored 182 goals in 229 appearances. He has also won multiple league titles and was part of the PSG side that reached the Champions League final while former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was manager.
According to reports in France, PSG are not willing to let Mbappe go without serious compensation and could ask for up to €400 million (£350 million). This would limit the number of clubs that would be able to sign the 24-year-old forward.

So who will sign Mbappe? Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom stated: “Despite signing a new three-year contract earlier this year, reports claim Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January. Long-term admirers Real Madrid are the 5/4 favourites to sign the 23-year-old, with Liverpool following closely behind at 6/4. Other contenders for Mbappe’s signature include Chelsea at 8/1 and Man City, who are 10/1.”
Of the three London clubs, you would expect Chelsea financially backed by Todd Boehly to position themselves to sign a global superstar like Mbappe. Though Arsenal (14/1) could lever their current performance in the Premier League to try and convince the French forward to make the move to the Emirates.
Tottenham (33/1) could also consider a move, although that seems much less likely.
However, Manchester City and Liverpool would likely provide stiff competition if Mbappe came onto the market at a realistic price. Man City have the financial power and the stature that rivals Madrid, while Liverpool's struggles this season could force their hand in the search for another attacker.
The Mbappe saga will be one that changes the football landscape and if he does move, who he goes to will be getting an incredible talent.
