Kylian Mbappe would be open to a move to Arsenal should he quit Paris Saint-Germain for the Premier League.
The Frenchman has once again been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes this summer after refusing to pen a new deal with the club. That leaves PSG in a vulnerable position.
They could yet lose their star man on a free transfer in just 12 months’ time, whilst clubs are circling should they decide to cash-in on the 2018 World Cup winner this summer. Spanish giants Real Madrid have invariably been linked with swooping for him, whilst Liverpool are regularly in the conversation.
However, Jurgen Klopp has been hit with a blow after learning that Mbappe’s preference is Arsenal. That is according to The Independent, who state that the current opportunity on offer at the Emirates Stadium is one that he is attracted by.
It is suggested that he likes the ‘evolution’ on display by Mikel Arteta ’s side, whilst he would also relish the challenge of delivering the club’s first domestic league title since the 2003/04 season. Meanwhile, the Gunners also have the prospect of Champions League football on offer, something that the Reds do not currently possess after finishing fifth last season.
At this stage, however, it appears that a deal is out of reach for both Arsenal and Liverpool. It is reported that neither have opened any contact with Mbappe and a big-money swoop would simply be out of both club’s budgets.

Mbappe has been linked with making a move to Merseyside on a host of occasions in the past. He even confirmed that tentative talks had been held, whilst his mum also supports the Reds.
At this stage, he remains relaxed about the situation. The same cannot quite be said of PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who has completely ruled out the prospect of allowing Mbappe to leave as a free agent next year.
Speaking at Luis Enrique’s official unveiling as the club’s new manager, the Qatari businessman said: “'We want him to stay but he can't leave for free. There was a verbal agreement and he had discussed it in an interview.
“And I was really shocked to learn that he had decided to leave for free. It's very disappointing because Mbappe is a fantastic boy, a real gentleman and to leave for free, weakening the biggest club in France, it's not him. When I heard the news, I was shocked and disappointed.”
Mbappe initially arrived at PSG in the summer of 2018, initially on-loan from Monaco. He has gone on to make 260 appearances in all competitions, scoring 212 goals.
