The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga has the potential to dominate the footballing world until his future is resolved. Marca have reported that Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in January, but not to join Real Madrid - the club he has been heavily linked with for some time.
It begs the question - where will Mbappe end up? Only a few clubs in world football will have the finances and the pulling power to sign arguably world football's biggest talent. In the report from Marca, they state that a move to Liverpool may be the Frenchman's only feasible option.
A move to Chelsea is not out of the question though, given the investment Todd Boehly is putting into the club. The Blues spent more than £270million during the summer - and moves for Christopher Nkunku and Josko Gvardiol have further highlighted Boehly's ambition and vision.

The 23-year-old has played for the Blues before. "I went to London and spent just under a week over there," he told FourFourTwo. "I trained at Chelsea, and we played a friendly match against Charlton Athletic.
"We won 6-0 or 7-0. I played up front, but I don't think I scored. It was great – it was my first experience abroad and a chance for me to see what the game was like in England."
If Mbappe was to join Chelsea, he could land his dream shirt number. The Frenchman wears the number seven for PSG - partly because Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the most famous players to wear that number, is his footballing idol.
Mbappe could take the number seven shirt on one condition, or maybe two. Currently, it is worn by N'Golo Kante at Chelsea. However, Kante's contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer, and with no news on a potential renewal, he could leave Stamford Bridge nad vacate the seven shirt for Mbappe.
If Kante were to leave though, it might not impress Mbappe who said told BeIN Sports in 2018: "I think he’s a player who’d suit our team perfectly. He’s French, and bringing a Frenchman back would be good as far as the attractiveness of our league is concerned. I think all the French love N’Golo Kanté, and it would be a pleasure to see him again in our league."
Chelsea would also be happy for Kante to stay though, and given the pair's friendship, the diminutive midfielder could offer up the shirt to his France teammate if he were to stay in west London.
