Kyler Murray expected to start for Cardinals vs. Falcons

The announcement finally came. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will play. Head coach Jonathan Gannon announced to reporters on Monday “if the week goes well, he’ll start” this week at home against the Atlanta Falcons.

Murray was designated to return from the PUP reserve almost three weeks ago. He will be activated on Wednesday.

He will get first-team reps in practice this week and, barring any setback, will start for the first time since he tore his ACL last December.

The Cardinals are 1-8 and have lost six in a row. They could use a little juice with the return of their starting quarterback.

Murray will now have eight games to play this season, four games before the bye and four after it, to show the organization he is still the guy they believe he is.

From everything we have heard from the coaches, he has progressed in every phase of the position, whether it be on the field or off of it.
