Kyle Walker reportedly failed to send Christmas presents to the two children he fathered with his former lover Lauryn Goodman for the second consecutive year.
Despite his £27 million fortune, the Manchester City footballer is said to have overlooked gifts for son Kairo and daughter Kinara, instead focusing on the four children he shares with his wife, Annie Kilner, according to reports.
Kilner filed for divorce from Walker in October after marrying the right-back in 2021. However, the pair reportedly spent Christmas Day together, the Sun claims.
Model Lauryn Goodman revealed in April 2020 that she had given birth to a baby fathered by Walker.
Walker admitted in January he had fathered a second child with Goodman, saying he had made "idiot choices" and needed to "own up to my mistakes".
Kilner has since had the couples’ fourth child, having been with Sheffield-native Walker for more than 12 years.
Over the summer, Walker was embroiled in a much-publicised family court hearing where he disputed child maintenance payments. Goodman later claimed that the footballer tried to meet her in secret in between court dates.
Mr Walker was ordered to pay £12,500 per month in child maintenance – a figure he offered before the hearing began – and a sum of £5,000 for furniture compared with Ms Goodman’s initial demand of £20,000.
Despite this, it appears the footballer did not buy Christmas gifts for the children.
“All of their mutual friends have talked to Kyle,” a source told the Sun.
“They feel really upset for the children and for Lauryn who is always trying to do right by their kids.
“They were hoping Kyle would put aside his differences for the sake of the children.
“But to leave them with nothing to open for another year is just really sad.”
Club captain Walker has been suffering minor injuries of late and was left out of the team for City’s Boxing Day draw with Everton.
His club are winless in 13 outings and now 14 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool having played a game more.
