Kyle Lowry somehow still managed to play defense on this 3-pointer despite being fouled out on the Heat’s bench

The Dallas Mavericks were just fined hundreds of thousands of dollars for violating league decorum rules on the bench with their players up and, basically, on the court in the middle of games.

The NBA said it interfered with play. They thought it was so bad that they tried to force Theo Pinson to actually change his shirt. Pinson tried to fight it, but it didn’t work. The Mavs still got fined and their bench still had to chill out.

So if they got fined for Theo Pinson’s shirt color, the Miami Heat should definitely get fined for Kyle Lowry basically playing defense on an Al Horford 3-point attempt while being fouled out on the bench.

Horford was shooting a corner 3 when, all of a sudden, Lowry is standing behind him and quickly swiping at him before pulling his hand back.

He doesn’t really cross the boundary line and no one really caught it until after the fact, but uh, yeah. That’s pretty wild. The Mavericks are probably somewhere seething that this went down and no one has really said anything about it to this point.

It’s also kind of funny and maybe the most Kyle Lowry thing Kyle Lowry has ever done. If there’s a guy who is going to figure out a way to skirt the rules a little bit, it’s him.

I thought it was pretty funny. Not everyone was rocking with this, though.
