West Ham United will be looking to pick up back-to-back wins in the Premier League on Saturday when they take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
The Hammers are enjoying an upturn in form at present and despite sitting 16th in the table and clear of the relegation zone by just one point, they have won their last two games, backing up the league victory over Everton with an FA Cup triumph at Derby County on Monday night.
Ahead of the Tyneside clash, here is a look at West Ham’s current list of absentees.

Maxwel Cornet (calf)
Having returned to training with the rest of the group at the end of November, winger Maxwel Cornet has suffered another setback on his return to action.
Cornet has not featured since making his full Premier League debut for West Ham on October 1, and has been out of action for four months, with Moyes still unsure of when Cornet will return fully.
Ahead of winning at Derby County on Monday night in the FA Cup, Moyes said that Cornet was due back at the club’s Rush Green training ground on Monday (January 30) after seeing a specialist in Paris, with the hope that a return to training is not too far away.
“Cornet has been back in France seeing a specialist for probably three or four weeks now,” said Moyes . “I’m hoping to have him back here on Monday and we will see where he is come Monday.
“It would be great. I don’t know if he’s going to walk in the building and sort of get his gear out and go training right away to be honest but the fact of the matter is, we hope he is going to be. Even that, we think he’d probably need at least a couple of weeks training before we are even getting close. That’s the problem with it.”
Gianluca Scamacca (knee)
Striker Gianluca Scamacca is currently on the treatment table after suffering a knee injury.
The Italian, who has scored seven goals this season, has missed the last two wins over Everton and Derby having suffered a knee injury against Leeds United earlier this month.
Scamacca was due to take a third and final course of injections on Wednesday, with Moyes saying after the win at Derby that he hoped Scamacca was close to a return.
Moyes said : “We are hoping Gianluca Scamacca is not too far away as well.
Danny Ings (knee)
New £12million signing Danny Ings made his Hammers debut in Saturday’s win over Everton last month, playing the final 18 minutes of the 2-0 victory.
However, in the game Ings picked up a knee injury and missed the win at Pride Park through injury, although he was already due to miss out due to being cup-tied.
Speaking on the injury on Monday night, Moyes said he hoped that the issue was not too serious, but did not want to put a specific return date on it.
“We’ve just got ourselves a little bit short with Kurt (Zouma) picking up an injury and with Danny Ings picking up an injury,” said Moyes.
“But, we believe they’re not too serious, so don’t think they are long term injuries but again, I’ve not got the crystal ball to tell you they’re coming back and they’re going to be fine and they’re not going to break down again.”
Kurt Zouma (thigh)
Having only returned from a two-month absence due to knee surgery in the win over Everton, French centre-back Kurt Zouma is now back on the treatment table.
The former Chelsea defender suffered a small tear in his thigh in the first half of the win over his former side Everton but played the duration of the match.
Speaking on Zouma, Moyes said that he hopes that his history of recovering from injuries quickly means Zouma is not absent for too long.
“He’s back. We think there’s a little bit of a tear at the top of his thigh,” Moyes told football.london .
“We’ve not really put any date on it because we generally are trying to get a correct diagnosis, how long we think he is going to be.
“He is a very quick healer, Kurt, if I’m being honest so hopefully, it’s not going to be too bad.”
