One of the proudest moments in the lives of any parents occurs when they can witness their children succeed at the highest levels.
On Friday night, Super Bowl XXXIV MVP and champion Kurt Warner will get to watch his son Kade make his NFL debut as a member of the Buccaneers. The 6’ 1” wideout, who played collegiately at Nebraska and Kansas State, signed with Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent and is looking to now make the club’s 53-man roster.
The elder Warner, who played 12 seasons in the NFL, shared on social media how his own football world has come full circle. The Hall of Fame quarterback reminisced about his participation in Super Bowl XLIII while under center for the Cardinals against the Steelers at Raymond James Stadium.
Now, Kade will be making his NFL debut on the very same field.
“Last SB I played in vs @steelers in @Buccaneers stadium… today my son plays his 1st game for the Bucs Vs Steelers in that same stadium!!! You can’t make this stuff up… & I never thought I’d cheer for TB, how quickly things change!” #ProudPapa,” Kurt wrote Friday.

While Kurt focused on the correlation to his own playing days, his wife Brenda instead focused on a funny anecdote involving Kade becoming emotional in the stands 14 years ago when his father lost his second Super Bowl appearance, costing him the opportunity to get a puppy.
“14yrs ago @kurt13warner lost SB and @KadeWarner cried in the stands(we promised kids a puppy if Dad won) Now @kurt13warner tears up as @KadeWarner makes debut @Buccaneers first preseason game. Wow life is beautifully weird and weirdly beautiful. #gokade,” she wrote.

Friday night is a special moment, but the Warner family is hoping this is just the first of many NFL memories they get their share with their son.
