At RideApart, we never miss an opportunity to cover the latest editions of KTM's 450 Rally Replica for years. And why would we? This is about as close as a rider can get to actually purchasing a factory race machine, certainly in the world of off-road race bikes. But we've never reported on the 450 Rally Replica's sale in the US, until the 2027 model.
For the first time, KTM is selling its 450 Rally Replica in the US, albeit in extremely limited numbers. I doubt these units will spend long on showroom floors, however, as when it comes to off-road rally supremacy, customers don't have a better option than this. If you don't already know, this model is born from the race bike that has essentially taken three different KTM riders to the top of the Dakar podium since 2023, most recently the Argentine winner, Luciano Benavides.
At the heart of the bike is a 450 cc fuel-injected SOHC engine, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a premium Brembo hydraulic clutch with rally-specific gearing. A titanium Akrapovič exhaust system trims weight and helps extract more power from the engine. Keeping everything together as you tackle the toughest terrain known to two-wheeled vehicles is a hydro-formed, laser-cut, and hand-welded frame is crafted for the ideal blend of longitudinal and torsional flex. The frame is complemented by a 48 mm WP XACT PRO 7548 Closed Cartridge Cone Valve fork at the front and the WP XACT PRO 7750 fully customizable shock at the rear.
It's not just a rally chassis and powertrain; the KTM 450 Rally Replica is littered with the kind of rally-spec particulars usually reserved for Dakar bikes. On this model, you'll find dual radiators, offset CNC triple clamps, with the upper clamp featuring an in-house-developed PHDS system and a SCOTTS steering damper, foam rubber grips on the tapered handlebar, along with wider footpegs.
If you want to take this straight from the dealership to compete in a rally, the three-fuel-tank construction that extends the capacity to 9.11 gallons and the carbon-fiber navigation tower mean you can. Other features include factory carbon parts, a Selle Dalla Valle seat, as well as the fitment of Michelin Starcross 6 Medium/Soft tires, and a powerful LED headlight package.
This model will hit showroom floors this fall, but there'll only be 104 sold worldwide. Although the Austrian brand hasn't released an MSRP for North American markets, it'll carry a €31,500 ($36,149) price tag in Europe before applicable taxes and fees.
