KSI explains why he could beat Thor Bjornsson despite 140lb weight difference

KSI has insisted he could beat Thor Bjornsson in a boxing match - because the strongman giant would be too slow.

Bjornsson returned to the ring earlier this month against bitter rival Eddie Hall, knocking down the Brit twice en route to a unanimous decision win. It was the 33-year-old's second professional win having knocked out arm-wrestler Devon Larratt last September.

YouTube star KSI retired from boxing after the lone win of his professional career against Logan Paul in 2019. The pair fought to a majority draw the year before as both of their bouts sold over one million pay-per-view buys.

KSI is set to come out of retirement after teaming up with Wasserman Promotions to launch a boxing promotional company. Even though Bjornsson is nine inches taller and over 140lbs heavier than KSI, the Brit thinks he would beat him in the ring.

"Yes, bro, he'd be slow." KSI replied when asked if he could beat Thor. "You have to be fast, in and out in and out. It's one of those things because he's slow, while he's recharging to strike you can hit him.

KSI's old rival turned business partner Paul could fight on the same card as him later this year, with the American also having a short-lived retirement from the ring. One potential opponent for KSI, who wants to fight twice this year, is Alex Wassabi. The American recently outpointed the KSI's brother Deji on a Showstar card in London.

“I honestly want to f*** up Alex Wassabi," KSI said. "Have you seen the videos he is making? He actually thinks he can beat me. He was like ‘you better not get in my weight class or you are done’. He said that I only have weight and that is the difference between me and him.

"I’m like bro I don’t think you understand who you are talking to. I am not some guy who is going to get walked on. When I put my mind to s*** it's a very different energy.”

Bjornsson could take on another British giant next in Martyn Ford, who is commonly labelled the 'World's Scariest Man'. Ford is scheduled to fight Iranian Hulk on April 23, called Bjornsson "too soft" before his bout with Hall.

The Icelandic strongman champion now wants to make Ford pay for his words and dismissed Ford's claim that he would win a fight between the pair. "I disagree," he told Boxing King Media. "I think I'd smash him."
