Kroger customer weighs $3.60 ground beef after noticing per-pound sale label: ‘that’s a scam’

A routine stop at the meat counter turned into a pricing mystery after one Kroger shopper decided to do the math himself. The customer, who posts on TikTok as theritchietv, was browsing marked-down ground beef when a yellow clearance sticker caught his eye.

Filming as he walked through the aisle, he said, “This makes no sense to me at all” before laying out the numbers that had caught his attention. The sticker read $3.60 for the package, with a per-pound price of $1.80 listed underneath it. By his math, $1.80 a pound multiplied by two comes to $3.60, meaning the package in his hand ought to weigh close to two pounds.
